Time Gone By
Singing and chanting in the rain,
Dancing away what seemed like endless days.
Not such a care in the world except playing with each other.
Hot summer days we melted away.
Sitting side by side in the sun,
Eating slices of watermelon before the day was done.
Autumn colors meet our eyes,
The summer sun now starts to die.
Chilly weather will come soon,
But I have this scarf from you.
Will snow fall this year?
The answer is never clear,
But we thought we would always be bundled together.
Sipping our hot cocoa and marshmallows.
Time has gone so fast,
What happen to those close knit kids?
